My work is rooted in intuition. I paint what I feel, letting mood and emotion guide me more than any specific subject or concept. Colour is at the heart of everything I do—its combinations, contrasts, and moods are what draw me in and ultimately shape each piece.

 

Currently, I’m working extensively with raw canvas, building layers of acrylic and pigment to create pieces that feel both calm and colourful. I often incorporate oil pastels into these works, adding texture, spontaneity, and contrast. There’s a rawness and honesty in this process that I love—an openness to imperfection and experimentation that keeps the work feeling alive.

 

I’m also returning to printmaking, and I’m excited to explore how it can blend with my painting practice. Both mediums allow me to play with repetition, layering, and composition in different ways, and I’m interested in how they can speak to each other in one body of work.

 

Ultimately, my goal is to create pieces that evoke a feeling—whether it’s joy, calm, energy, or nostalgia. I’m always chasing that perfect balance between vibrant colour and soft restraint. While my style continues to evolve, one thing stays the same: I paint to connect—with myself, with others, and with the emotional resonance that colour can bring.
